Huge 7.5 magnitude earthquake strikes off coast of Mexico
(DEVELOPING) A magnitude 7.5 earthquake struck off the coast of La Placita de Morelos in western Mexico, the U.S. Geological Survey said on Monday.
The quake struck 29 miles south-southeast of La Placita de Morelos in the state of Michoacan and was at a depth of 6.2 miles, USGS said. The U.S. Tsunami Warning System said there was risk of a tsunami Near the coast Of Michoacan. (Reuters)
This is the 3rd time a quake has hit on same day
Alarms for the new quake came less than an hour after a quake alarm sounded in a nationwide earthquake simulation marking major quakes that struck on the same date in 1985 and 2017.
A tsunami warning was issued a 10 foot wave was spotted and lesser waves can be expected near coastlines will update as needed

ANOTHER powerful 6.8 earthquake has struck Mexico leaving fatalities and landslides
Another significant and deadly earthquake struck the same Mexican state reeling from a major earthquake earlier in the week. At least two people are dead in Mexico City and damage and landslides were reported in Michoacán state, where both quakes were centered, according to the Associated Press.
