A lot of people are asking these questions the article posed. And I think there is going to be a day of reckoning IF and only IF those who want truth are brave enough to pursue it (and for that matter turn back to God for help). I don't think most people with even half a brain believe all that's going on is normal in the least, but the makings of deluded psycho cases from a hospital somewhere - it's so crazy and certainly does not make any sense.
But if people are too fearful and hope it goes away, it won't and will bring us to the Great Tribulation it's getting so wicked.
