A former US Air Force security officer has lifted the lid on two close encounters with a "a gigantic floating red square" UFO that was more than 100 yards long.
Ex-USAF senior patrolman Jeff Nuccetelli said military contractors working for Boeing reported the unknown craft hovering in the morning above a launch site at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California.
The incident happened 20 years ago last month, but the shocking event in 2003 only came to light in July, in sworn testimony before Congress, but now Nuccetelli has come forward to detail his official, rapid-response investigation into the UFO on the day it occurred.
Nuccetelli, speaking to the Merged podcast, said: "This is not a joke. These are contractors with top secret clearances. When I showed up, it's just mayhem. Everybody's excited. They're scared. Everyone's freaked out."
Nuccetelli also recounted a second reported instance where the "red square" appeared, this time where two of his fellow USAF police patrol officers "got buzzed by the UFO".
Nuccetelli told Merged host, retired US Navy fighter pilot Lt Ryan Graves: "I'm getting ready to jump in the car and then all hell breaks loose and they start screaming over the radio, 'It's coming right at us. It's coming right for us. Now it's right here'. It was hard to hear because they were screaming and they were scared."
The second UFO sighting was never made public until now, but Nuccetelli said he recorded it in a police blotter and he has retained copies. It took place above Vandenberg AFB's Space Launch Complex 4, which is leased today by Elon Musk's SpaceX.
The veteran security official told the podcast he was very confident in the veracity of the half a dozen fellow USAF police who said they witnessed the giant red UFO's flyby. www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/air-force-officer-breaks-silence-on-red-glowing-ufo-the-size-of-a-football-field-hovering/ar-AA1jIn4E
