I heard a guy on T.V. yesterday. He was pointing out, that all of what we might call the civilized world,
has one common denominator or corner stone that allows it to grow and continue to exist.
That corner stone is the Bible or what is referred to as Judeo-Christian belief.
We do know this already but this guy presented the idea on such large world scale. Name the country be it in
Europe, Asia, Africa, Mideast, China, etc. etc. most all the other peoples and their governments in the world are no longer based on Judeo-Christian belief.
Judeo-Christian: makes no commitment to either Jewish or Christian religious doctrine.
It is equally applicable whether one believes Jesus to be the Son of God, the Messiah, or the last of the Hebrew prophets.
What it does embrace is a code to live by based on the word of God.
The central idea in Judeo Christianity is non-self-interested love. Non-self-interested love is defined as the awareness of others’ individuality.
Jesus’ central message was to teach this love.
When you look at the world condition of the Judeo-Christian/Bible based belief system ... it seems the US/Israel are close to the last governments barely hanging on and we are fading fast.
The bible is a guide for all mankind to live by. It's much more than just a book about religion.
It deals with the individual on a personal level, but how that person should fit into the family, and the family fits into the community,
and the community should fit into the government and so on. Without a blueprint to a successful way for man to live by, we see chaos from the bottom up.
With the push away from traditional family, community we begin to lose touch with our relationship to each other.
Governments become about power and greed. The desire for self preservation causes people to become lovers of self. The central message Judeo-Christianity becomes lost.
His conclusion was this world generation, is the first generation since the flood that the majority of civilized peoples in the world have no foundation in Judeo-Christian beliefs.
So therefore in his opinion this generation and thus mankind in its current state, has little to no chance of long term survival.
Humans left to their own desires without guidance of Bible/God will in a short period of time destroy each other.
Without values brought forth in the scripture that teach man about the commandments, to know the difference between evil and good love vs hate and even the hierarchy of a family and/or government we are lost.....Seems Mankind truly drives itself into the "End Times" ditch.
Truly our very existence depends on a love that responds to human need in unexpected undeserving ways . Gods mercy is our only hope .
